About Royal Eye & Ear Hospital

Precision care for the senses that matter most — right here in Nairobi

Royal Eye & Ear Hospital is a trusted eye and ear hospital Nairobi families have come to rely on, built on one powerful conviction: that quality specialist care should feel accessible, accurate, and above all — safe. Operated by Bluewhale Medical Limited, we've grown into a destination for eye and ear health, serving patients of all walks of life across the city and beyond.

Our Story

Royal Eye & Ear Hospital is a specialist medical facility based in Parklands, Nairobi, dedicated exclusively to eye and ear health. We are operated by Bluewhale Medical Limited, and we exist for one reason: to bring international-grade ophthalmology, ENT and audiology care to patients across Nairobi and beyond.  Our hospital is home to a team of specialist doctors with training and experience spanning Egypt, the UK, the Middle East, Pakistan and Kenya. Between them, our ophthalmologists have performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries, 5,000 vitreoretinal procedures and 700 corneal transplants. That depth of experience is what makes Royal different — our patients are not seen by generalists. Every consultation, every diagnosis, every procedure is handled by a qualified specialist in their field.  We treat children and adults for conditions ranging from a routine eye test or hearing assessment to complex surgical care. Our facility is fully equipped for both diagnostic and surgical procedures, and we work with leading insurance providers to make care accessible.

Our Values

What We Stand For

The principles that guide every consultation, every diagnosis, and every decision we make at Royal Eye & Ear Hospital.

Clinical Excellence

Every diagnosis and treatment at Royal is held to the highest professional standard. Our specialists are selected for their expertise, and our equipment is maintained to deliver accurate, reliable results.

Precision & Accuracy

In eye and ear medicine, the margin for error is small. We invest in modern diagnostic technology precisely because getting it right the first time is not optional — it is the only standard we accept.

Compassionate Care

We treat you as a person, not a case number. From the moment you walk in, our team listens carefully, explains clearly, and makes sure you feel supported throughout your treatment journey.

Accessibility

Quality specialist care should not be out of reach. We work with major insurers, offer transparent pricing for self-pay patients, and run free community outreach camps across Kiambu County three times a week.
